FAQ’s

What if the weather is too bad to go out?

We watch the weather very closely before every charter and while we are out. If the weather is too bad to go out,
we will notify our customers and allow them to reschedule or get a refund for their charter. Please see our cancellation policy.

Rain does not always stop us from going out. Unless we call and let you know the charter is canceled or postponed, show
up at the scheduled time.

What should we bring?

We provide all of the necessities for a safe and successful day on the water. Rods, reels, bait, tackle, safety equipment, insurance, and all required licensing documents are included. We do suggest our guests bring clothing to shield them from the sun including a long sleeve shirt or pullover, a hat, and some form of neck covering. We do have sunscreen on the boat but always encourage guests to bring their own.

How do we pay?

Payment is due when the charter is booked. We accept all credit and debit cards as payment. We do not store your credit card information and all credit card transactions are encrypted for your safety.

Where do we meet?

All of our charters leave from Pete’s Pier Bait and Tackle in Crystal River

1sw, SW 1st Pl, Crystal River, FL 34429

What is the payment policy?

Full payments are required to book a charter. For refunds please reference our Refund Policy.

Are we guaranteed to catch fish?

We have never been skunked! If we should not catch a single fish (not species specific), you will receive a 50% discount on the next fishing adventure with Fishing Florida Charters

How many people can we bring on the boat?

Offshore: We offer a maximum of 6 passengers on our offshore charters.

Should I worry about seasickness?

Unfortunately, seasickness is always a possibility while deep-sea fishing. Weather is a big contributing factor and is out of our control. Each person has their own threshold of tolerance for rough seas, but we always lean towards taking precautionary measures.

Sea sickness can be induced by heavy alcohol consumption the night before a trip and while onboard.

Dramamine is our go-to seasickness preemptive measure. If you do have a tendency to experience motion sickness we suggest taking Dramamine 1-2 hours before boarding our vessel. We will have additional remedies on board as a safeguard.

Do you offer split charters?

We believe the best experience is a purely private charter with you and your closest friends or family. Because of that, we do not offer split charters. Our charters are the same price no matter the number of people on the boat.
